well imagine that

Halliburton’s profits are up 19.9%. And folks wonder why BushCo doesn’t want out of Iraq. If you listen closely you can hear Cheney cackling maniacally.

In better news, the weekend was good, and my copy of Harry Potter came in today (would have been delivered Saturday, but I had it shipped to the office). Debating on whether to put down the book I’m currently reading and pick that up or what. Didn’t make it to Artscape, but had a great time just relaxing anyhow.

Work has been slow lately, so I’m trying to ramp up and jump on more things to get busy again.

Ok, back to it then.

When Mondays are Thursdays

Woohooo!

Today is my Thursday. I work tomorrow, and then am off until July 3rd! I can’t wait.

This Thursday through Sunday, I’ll be at Gaian Mind Summer Festival 2007, which is basically the biggest weekend of my year. The weather is looking like it is going to be nice, with a 40% chance of showers on Saturday night. I’ll take those odds. It seemed to rain cats and dogs all weekend last year and I still had a blast.

Before I head out to beautiful Four Quarters, I’ll me making a stop at Beyond in Dupont Circle on Wednesday night, where I’ll be playing all the downtempo, trip-hop, deep house, bootlegs and mashups I can fit into an hour and a half between 6:30 and 8:30pm. Come check it out!

After GMSF, I’ll be headed out to Bethany Beach to relax in the sun and be buried in the sand by Elizabeth’s nieces and nephews… FOR A WEEK!! Should be good times. This is the longest vacation I think I’ve ever taken during my professional life and I can’t wait to get out of here. I’ve already finished the day’s tasks for my primary employer. Some stuff to finish up for a freelance client this evening and I’m basically all set. :)

I’ll be published soon!

Just got word that the paper I co-authored; “Reaching Maturity Level 2 / Capability Level 3 in 9 Months: Lessons Learned in Using Agile Methods for Process Improvement” has been tentatively selected for CrossTalk’s August 2007 issue.

Awesome!
