I'm a hardworking middle-class American, too.

We don't want a hand out, but we don't we'd prefer the taxes we pay go to help struggling families before it goes to fund no-bid contracts for illegal wars. We want to be kept safe, but not at the expense of our privacy and freedom. We want the government to treat everyone fairly, and not make a difference between the haves and the have nots. And that's what the founding fathers wanted too. A government of the people, by the people and FOR the people. Not a government of the corporations, by the lobbyists and for only the richest elite.

I'm a Democrat but I certainly know the value of hard work, and so do my Democrat parents. My Father is a Vietnam Veteran, and my mother is disabled since birth but worked since her teens anyway. In almost 50 years, neither of them asked for a DIME from the government until they were both physically unable to work. I think the idea that anyone who wants more for all of us and not just some of us should be called undignified to be beneath a response but I'll humor you nonetheless.

It isn't about wanting the government to provide everything or raise our kids. It's about wanting the government to ensure that our air and water is clean, that our toys aren't full of lead because they don't get inspected, and a million other things a conservative-run government will never do because it hurts their cronies' profit margins... One very major thing we want is to make sure that our finest men and women don't get shipped off to die in the desert on a complete, unadulterated lie.

That's the difference between a Democrat and a Republican though, isn't it? The difference between the WE and the ME. You want those who have the gold to make the rules, and we want the golden rule.

I am a hardworking middleclass American and cannot see why anyone would even vote for a Democrat much for Clinton. As so many feel we are a dysfunctional country why would we want a co-dependent, abused wife in a dysfunctional marriage who obviously does not have the courage to divorcee herself, does not have my vote that she could run a country. The way I see it if you want something for nothing and a monthly check and let the Village raise your children then by all means follow the rest of the cows and vote Democratic. On the otherhand if you beleive in hardwork and provide for yourself and dignity to not take a handout VOTE Republican
