Update

For the 3 or so of you that read this, I apologize for the lack of content. I went and upgraded to Leopard after waiting a while and reading comments of people with my gear that weren’t having problems, even though I knew M-Audio hasn’t updated their FireWire drivers yet. Of course, I was not as lucky as some others… So I can’t really put out recordings of on-the-fly DJ mixes, as I can’t cue at the moment.

I am working on some non-DJ stuff more along the lines of live performance and live remixing with some actual hardware (keys, guitar, etc) but none of that is ready for public consumption yet. Soon I hope.

A few DC locals are starting a little something up that I hope pans out. Our first jam session/get together is tonight. I can’t wait!

Look what’s in my lobby!

An Apple IIgs! (and what appears to be a large can of baked beans)

I have no room in my apartment to collect crap like this, but I could probably eBay it for a couple bucks.

Probably not worth the effort to bring it upstairs.

Sweet New Capitals Hat

Check it out!

Caps Hat!

The Capitals are doing a lot better since Bruce Boudreau came on board. They lost against Detroit last night in the shootout, but I’ll take 1 point against the top team in the NHL any day of the week. That’s a point we didn’t have before the game, anyway.

Ok, I’m starving so that means it’s time to go home and eat something. I also have to do my Christmas cards, and get laundry done. Oh what a fun, eventful evening I have planned!

Awesome Video

Nature is rad.

Buffalo versus Lions versus Crocodiles

In other news, I’m almost done with Christmas shopping. Good thing too, since the money is almost gone as well. I’m not expecting a bonus this year, and paying gobs of back taxes kind of puts a damper on the ol’ savings plans.

Dennis Kucinich to be Excluded from Debate

The Des Moines Register has excluded Dennis Kucinich from their debate tonight because his Iowa field director works from his home instead of a rented office. Their criteria simply requires a candidate have a campaign office and a full-time staff.

This is completely ridiculous, and insulting to each and every voter. Not only in the Iowa caucuses, but nationally as well. These last debates before the caucuses could be the most important media exposure for any of the candidates to get. It is entirely unacceptable to exclude a top-polling candidate, or any candidate for that matter from them based on such an asinine interpretation of the criteria.

In my opinion, this is another example of how the bigger budget wins the election. Because the Kucinich campaign isn’t being sent great gobs of money like some of the others, they have had to be frugal with their space rental options in Iowa, choosing to work from a home instead. Now due to something as simple as not spending money that doesn’t need to be spent, Kucinich has an even harder fight to get representation at the caucus. Isn’t useless spending something we discourage in our elected officials? Shouldn’t all of the candidates be encouraged to save money where possible?

I found this on Earthtimes.org, via Digg.
